CFPN was established in November 2014. The associations that took the initiative to launch the network: ESPO, Cruise Baltic, Cruise Europe, Cruise Norway and MedCruise, welcomed at the meeting CruiseBritain, as the latest association to join.

During the meeting, participants exchanged ideas on the best way to achieve a major improvement of cruise and ferry ports representation to the European institutions.

Another topic of discussion was establishing main goals and activities of CFPN, and working towards developing a ESPO Code of Practice for cruise and ferry ports.

A Pan-European dialogue between cruise operators, ports and coastal tourism stakeholders is scheduled to take place in Brussels on March 5-6, 2015 at which CFPN will be represented.
