Panama Cruise Terminal heads into its third season

Panama Cruise Terminal has 49 calls booked for the 2023/24 season, which begins Sept. 1.

Thirty-one are transit calls expected to carry a total of approximately 69,633 passengers and 18 are homeport operations for an estimated 25,948 passengers embarking/disembarking.

Passenger spending

Each in-transit passenger spends approximately 100 balboas on such purchases as tours, meals and souvenirs, while passengers on homeporting ships spend about 350 balboas each, according to the Panama Maritime Authority, resulting in anticipated total cruiser spending of approximately $11.5m.

Ships are expected from Norwegian Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean International, MSC Cruises, Phoenix Reisen, Princess Cruises, Peace Boat, Swan Hellenic, Viking, ResidenSea, Scenic, Holland America Line, Windstar Cruises, Oceania Cruises, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, Silversea and Seabourn.

This is the third season of operations for the new facility.
