So said Michael Bayley, president and CEO, Royal Caribbean International, during today's third quarter earnings call.
Hideaway Beach to add capacity for 3,000
Hideaway Beach, due to open in late 2022, will enable Royal Caribbean to increase Perfect Day capacity by approximately 3,000 people a day. This will 'help improve our overall profitability and drive more revenue, both ticket and on-board,' Bayley said.
In early 2020, Royal Caribbean had completed the $250m phase one transformation of Perfect Day at CocoCay with the opening of its extra-fee Coco Beach Club with over-water and beach cabanas, an oceanfront infinity pool, a dedicated restaurant with upscale dining and an exclusive bar.
Royal Beach Club
As for the Nassau Beach Club, 'We're close to finalizing the design, the construction plans and the approvals,' Bayley said, adding it's hoped that work could start there 'very soon.'
In 2019, Royal Caribbean announced plans for the first Royal Beach Club at Fort James, not far from the cruise berths in St. John's Antigua.
The company said each location will feature local food and music, family activities and custom attractions.
