Ponant’s nine-night ‘The Seychelles under the trade winds’ programme runs from November 22, 2022 through to February 20, 2023. Sailing round-trip from Mahé, it includes two new ports of call: African Banks north of the Amirante Islands and Thérèse Island, both uninhabited.

Highlights

Passengers will have the opportunity to book a pre-cruise eco-lodge stay nestled in the Arabian Desert.

Scuba diving, free diving initiation, yoga at sunrise and sunset, meditation, paddleboarding, and outings in glass-bottomed kayaks or snorkeling are among the highlights. On board will sail an expedition leader and three naturalist guides, among them a yoga expert and freediver instructor.

There are no motorised water sports and only individual or small group landings are available owing to environmental considerations. The vessel navigates under sail as often as possible.

Prices start at €8,970.

Le Ponant

After undergoing renovation by the Jean-Philippe Nuel Studio, Le Ponant comprises 16 staterooms accommodating a maximum of 32 passengers.

Enhancements include dockside power connection, selective catalytic reduction filters to eliminate fine particles and reduce nitrogen oxide emissions by 90%, waste sorting and a state-of-the-art water treatment system.
