Royal Caribbean International's Wonder of the Seas, set to debut in March at Port Everglades for a short season and then sail from Barcelona and Civitavecchia (Rome) in summer 2022, will subsequently reposition to Port Canaveral.
Alternating eastern-western itineraries
From there it will sail weekly to the eastern and western Caribbean with each cruise including a stop at Perfect Day at CocoCay.
'We’re very proud to have Royal Caribbean’s Wonder of the Seas homeport here, and we look forward to welcoming her next fall,' said Capt. John Murray, port CEO. 'This is terrific news for our entire port community and another endorsement of our commitment to excellence in providing a world-class experience for our cruise guests.'
Fourth Oasis ship to sail from Canaveral
Wonder is the fifth Oasis-class ship and the fourth to call Port Canaveral home.
The vessel is currently at Marseille's Drydock 10 for some inside finishing works. It remains under the control of the builder, Chantiers de l'Atlantique, until the end of January, when it will be delivered to Royal Caribbean.
