Portuguese government lifts cruise ban

Embarkation and disembarkation at Portuguese ports is now permitted by cruise ships carrying international passengers, with shore visits also permissible.

However, this excludes entry to residents of countries with an incidence rate equal to or greater than 500 cases of COVID-19 per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days, such as Sweden, the Netherlands, Croatia, Lithuania, South Africa, Brazil and India.

This policy applies through May 30 when the government will reevaluate, according to the pandemic situation, and make changes if needed.

Porto Cruise Terminal ready to welcome passengers

The Port of Leixões’ Porto Cruise Terminal is ready to welcome cruise traffic.

Passengers should present a negative PCR test taken within the 72 hours ahead of boarding or disembarking.

This does not apply to children younger than 24 months.
