The changes spring from an earlier decision by White Pass Railroad to close the forward berth at the Railroad Dock on safety concerns following a rockslide.

Because that dock is the primary berthing location for Princess Royal-class ships, and because there are no other viable alternatives, the line adjusted 10 itineraries.

Sitka, Haines, Icy Strait Point are substituted

The Aug. 11, Sept. 8 and Sept. 22 Discovery Princess cruises and the Sept. 13 Royal Princess departure will visit Sitka instead.

The Aug. 16 and Aug. 30 sailings of Royal Princess will substitute Haines.

The Aug. 23 and Sept. 6 Majestic Princess cruises and the Aug. 25 and Sept. 1 Discovery Princess cruises will call Icy Strait Point.
