The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection will sail its first Alaska season in 2026 aboard Luminara.

Extended stays at some ports

Thirteen voyages departing from Whittier and Vancouver, BC are planned between May and September next year. Itineraries range from seven to 11 nights, with extended stays in select ports such as Sitka, Valdez and Vancouver.

Other destinations include Juneau, Ketchikan, Icy Strait Point, Wrangell, Haines, Petersburg and — as reported in Seatrade Cruise Review's December 2024 Alaska cover story — Klawock. BC's Prince Rupert also features. Luminara will journey through Tracy Arm Fjord past Sawyer Glacier, travel into Endicott Arm Fjord for a close-up view of Dawes Glacier and pass the mighty Hubbard Glacier.

Able to access smaller destinations

'The intimate size of Luminara allows us to visit smaller, less-traveled ports, providing our guests with a more immersive way to experience Alaska’s natural beauty and wildlife,' said Jim Murren, executive chairman and CEO, The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection.

Scheduled to debut in July this year, the 452-passenger Luminara is the sister of 2024's Ilma.
