The launch of the 2023 programme coincides with this year’s Christmas and New Year departures, which according to Riviera, are close to sold out.
The company's head of cruise Katja Hildebrandt said the sailings have ‘something for everyone.’
‘We’ve seen fantastic demand for our programme this year,' she remarked, 'so we’d encourage guests looking to enjoy a festive 2023 cruise to book early to avoid missing out.'
Prices include return flights with regional airport options available, Eurostar travel on select itineraries, full board, plus scheduled visits and tours. Excursions are available in every port visited, plus there are lectures, port talks, celebrations, entertainment and authentic regional menus available.
2023 Christmas and New Year Itineraries
Eight six-day sailings featuring guided tours of Budapest, Vienna and Bratislava are available as part of the ‘The Danube’s Imperial Cities and Yuletide Markets’ programme priced from £949pp.
‘Enchanting Rhine and Yuletide Markets’ consists of guided tours of Bonn, Rüdesheim, Koblenz and Cologne over five days. There are eight departures starting at £749pp.
There is an eight-day ‘Christmas on the Rhine’ voyage departing December 21 that offers six visits and tours including of Koblenz, Rüdesheim, Speyer, Strasbourg, Boppard and Cologne. Tickets start from £2099pp.
For the same length of time, passengers can embark on the ‘Christmas on the Blue Danube’ leaving December 22. Priced starting from £2099pp, it offers tours of Vienna, Salzburg or Linz, Budapest and Bratislava, and involves visits to Esztergom, Melk Abbey and Schönbrunn Palace.
For ‘New Year on the Rhine,’ there are guided tours of Rüdesheim, Frankfurt, Koblenz and Cologne as part of the six-day cruise setting sail December 28. Prices start at £1699pp.
Leaving December 29 is ‘New Year on the Danube,’ an itinerary comprising guided tours of Budapest, Bratislava, Vienna and Schönbrunn Palace. The six-day sailing is available from £1699pp.
