Since September 2014, he had served as controller for Royal Caribbean's TourTrek.

Earlier, Boink spent more than 14 years in the company's commercial development group, working on business negotiations, investments, operations and deal structuring.

Some of his port projects included Historic Falmouth, Jamaica; Belize, Cape Liberty, Roatán and Kai Tak Cruise Terminal in Hong Kong.
