Selected together with local leaders, internet terminals went live at Sitka Sound Cruise Terminal, the Sitka Bazaar in central Sitka and at Harrigan Centennial Hall by the City and Borough of Sitka.

'We know the crucial role internet access plays in staying connected as a community and business. At Royal Caribbean Group, we’re dedicated to doing all we can to support locals as they navigate Internet outages in Sitka,' said Preston Carnahan, AVP West Coast destination, Royal Caribbean Group.

Gratitude

'We are truly grateful for the support and Internet terminals Royal Caribbean Group shared with our community during this challenging time,' said Chris McGraw of Sitka Dock Co., which owns and operates Sitka Sound Cruise Terminal. 'Over the years their collaboration and willingness to step in have made a difference in Sitka and this time is no different.'

Sitka Municipal Administrator John Leach added his gratitude for the partnership, saying it 'highlights the strength of our community and our ability to come together to find solutions in times of need, not only during emergency outages but also during times of high network congestion.'
