The 12-day 'Antarctica Insights: Fly & Cruise' voyage will be Scenic Eclipse’s first fly-cruise
Scenic is launching three new Antarctic itineraries for 2023/24 including its first ever fly-cruise to Antarctica in 2023 that will allow passengers to fly over the Drake Passage.

Passengers on the 12-day ‘Antarctica Insights: Fly & Cruise’ voyage departing December 17, 2023 arrive at King George Island to embark the yacht. The flight option provides a shorter overall sailing with prices starting at £14,485 per person.

The 11-day fly-cruise itinerary, ‘Wild Antarctica, Fly the Drake’ which departs December 24, 2023, is priced from £13,450 per person.

Departing February 8, 2024 Scenic Eclipse will make a 19-day ‘Beyond the Antarctic Circle’ voyage that includes an additional night to cross and explore the Antarctic Circle; discovering 66° 33’ south brings with it a change in scenery, more sea ice and wildlife living off the krill-rich waters. Prices start at £15,850 per person.

The sailings carry a 20-strong specialist Polar Discovery team, with educational lectures on Antarctic history, geography and its ecosystem taking place onboard.

Six sailings within the region in 2021/22

Scenic Eclipse is currently making its way from the Red Sea to Antarctica in preparation for sailings there in January. Overall, six sailings are planned for the Antarctic peninsula for the 2021/22 season, which starts January 8. According to Scenic, it will be the first to operate a submarine in the waters of South Georgia Island in 2022.

'We’ve been planning this season for months and we can’t wait to head back to the White Continent for a season of luxury and discovery,’ remarked Jason Flesher, Scenic Discovery Yachts’ expedition operations manager. ‘Thanks to the size and capabilities of Scenic Eclipse, we’ve been able to secure exclusive landings in Margarite Bay, a southern destination that very few other ships visit.’

Prices start from £9,650 per person for the 16-day ‘Antarctica in Depth’ itinerary departing February 15 or 26, 2022.

From Antarctica and South Georgia the vessel will make its way back across the Atlantic, sailing from Rio de Janeiro to Lisbon, to commence its first ever Mediterranean season.

Scenic Eclipse has been sailing chartered itineraries in Saudi waters since July 17, 2021.
