The Silversea Cruises vessel arrived at Ocean Terminal January 18. Hong Kong’s nightly light and sound show, ‘A Symphony of Lights,’ was projected across Victoria Harbour as the ship made its departure on January 19.

Silver Spirit is the first of ‘many more international cruises’ to return to Hong Kong in 2023 and beyond, according to the Hong Kong Tourism Board.

Commented Adam Radwanski, MD Asia Pacific, Silversea Cruises, ‘Cruising in Asia could not be completed and fully satisfying without calling Hong Kong. It would probably be one of the most anticipated sailings in the region for us.

‘Throughout 2023, Silversea is going to offer another seven voyages that will return to Hong Kong.’

East-meets-West culture, culinary delights

East-meets-West culture was captured in the choice of shore excursions, which included culinary delights and authentic street food, museums and art galleries.

Passengers could look out over the city’s skyline and take a guided stroll in Hong Kong’s oldest district, Old Town Central.

West Kowloon Cultural District and Hong Kong’s Victoria Peak, riding on the brand-new Peak Tram were also among the attractions.

Domestic cruises

As earlier reported, Resorts World Cruises is chartering Explorer Dream to operate short cruises to nowhere from Hong Kong starting in March.
