Silversea event opens pre-sale for 2024 'Far East-West' world cruise

The 132-day journey will visit 65 destinations across 14 countries, including 40 new destinations for a Silversea world cruise. Plus, 23 overnight port stays will unlock deeper cultural immersion.

Around the Pacific Rim

The 388-passenger Silver Shadow will depart San Francisco Jan. 15, 2024, and journey on a round-trip itinerary that will encompass most of the Pacific Rim, from Hawaii and remote Pacific isles to Australia and New Zealand, Southeast Asia, China, Japan, the Russian Far East and back across the Pacific to Alaska, Canada and California. The remote, volcanic Russian Far East and Alaska will feature for the first time on a Silversea world cruise.

'Our guests have expressed a strong desire for longer cruises to faraway destinations, exemplified by the resounding success of our world cruise 2023, which sold out on the day of its general opening,' Silversea President and CEO Roberto Martinoli said.

Cinematic premiere

Silversea hosted an exclusive, virtual premiere of the 2024 voyage for select guests and travel partners. Shot over three days at the famous Villa Arconati near Milan, this was a cinematic production hosted by Fernando Barroso de Oliveira, Silversea's president's ambassador to the Venetian Society, with a live question session with Martinoli, de Oliveira and Silversea Chief Commercial Officer Barbara Muckermann.

'We decided to unveil our world cruise 2024 to members of our Venetian Society and travel partners by way of a cinematic extravaganza, in which our beloved Fernando took center stage to showcase this incredible itinerary, presenting the voyage’s highlights to a holographic version of himself,' Muckermann said. 'In a nod to our Italian heritage, we hired a beautiful, historic villa in the Italian countryside to surprise our guests and to emulate the elegance in which they will travel on the world cruise 2024.

Exclusive events

In addition to a bon voyage gala reception, dinner and overnight accommodation in San Francisco on the evening before departure, and a special farewell event upon the voyage’s conclusion, full world cruisers will be treated to special events and overland experiences.

Among these are an evening on the USS Missouri in Honolulu in Pearl Harbor with dinner and 1940s music; a night at Uluru, a spiritual destination for Australia's indigenous people; and an overland adventure to the Hindu temple of Prambanan and the Buddhist temple of Borobudur on Java, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Further exclusive events are a multisensory dining experience created by an award-winning chef and hosted in a secret location in Shanghai; a night at what's reputed to be the world's northernmost opera house, in Vladivostok, Russia, with caviar and Champagne; and an evening of local flavors and folklore including a Cossack performance in Korsakov, Russia.

At least one included shore excursion at each port

Along with at least one included shore excursion at every port — more than 200 experiences in total — full world cruisers will have access to a bespoke collection of tours such as a full-day trip to Lady Elliot Island and the Great Barrier Reef from Brisbane and a visit to Tran Hu Tuan's famous fine art collection at a unique home in Ho Chi Minh City.

Full world cruisers also get door-to-door service including private executive transfers, business-class air (from select countries/gateways), a VIP meet and greet, Silver Shore Baggage Valet and more.

Fares start at $66,000

Fares range from $66,000 to $276,000 per person, double occupancy. Sales open to the general public Aug. 4.
