Silversea opens sales for Med cruises from Greece with 'bubble' tours

Full COVID-19 vaccination will be required for crew and passengers.

The new ship will offer nine cruises of 10 days round-trip Piraeus, to destinations including Santorini, Paros, Mykonos and Crete, among others, as well as Haifa in Israel and Cyprus.

'Bubble' excursions, included in the fare

Passengers on these cruises will only be allowed ashore on Silversea’s verified excursions, which will be included in the fare — one included shore experience per day, from a selection in each port. Premium verified shore experiences will be available at an additional charge.

Sample itineraries

The June 18 cruise will visit Syros, Paros, Patmos, Rhodes, Limassol, Heraklion and Mykonos, In Limassol, ancient Cyprus will come alive as travelers discover Petra tou Romiou, or 'Aphrodite's Rock,' the mosaics of Paphos at the House of Dionysos and the 3rd-century Tomb of the Kings. A verified shore experience in Rhodes will unlock the medieval past, with travelers stepping back in time in the walled Old City, the Palace of the Grand Masters, the Avenue of the Knights and the Archaeological Museum, among other highlights.

Plus, S.A.L.T. and Fernando Barroso de Oliveira

Two days at sea will enable travelers to take part in the new S.A.L.T. culinary program, and Silversea’s President’s Ambassador to the Venetian Society, Fernando Barroso de Oliveira, will accompany this voyage.

Silver Moon's June 28 cruise opens with a day at sea followed by calls at Limassol, Ashdod (for Jerusalem) and Haifa (Nazareth) in Israel, Rhodes, Aghios Nikolaos and Souda Bay in Crete, and Santorini. Travelers will have the opportunity to visit key sites in Jerusalem, including the Room of the Last Supper, the Tomb of King David and Dormition Abbey. Spectacular scenery and laid-back village life await in Santorini’s picturesque Oia.

All-inclusive

Silversea's recently enhanced all-inclusive offer includes round-trip economy-class flights (business-class upgrades available at full fare, depending on availability; a non-use credit is also available), one verified excursion in each port, pre- and post-cruise hotel night/s, or day-use hotel, depending on Silversea’s air program flight schedule, transfers, on-board gratuities, all dining and beverages and unlimited Wi-Fi.

Martinoli thanked Greece Tourism Minister Harry Theoharis, port authorities and other governing bodies for their support and their openness to collaboration.
