Silversea Cruises opened sales for its 2016 world voyage, 115 days from Fort Lauderdale to Venice. Silver Whisper will depart Jan. 5 for 51 destinations in 31 countries, including 13 multi-day port calls and many late-night departures.

The 'Venetian World Odyssey 2016' will follow a westward path from Fort Lauderdale through the Panama Canal to South America and the Pacific.

Silver Whisper will explore Easter Island, Pitcairn Island, Tahiti and Bora Bora before sailing to destinations in New Zealand, Australia and Asia, including Hong Kong and Singapore, Bali and Phuket, and Myanmar. The voyage will continue to India, Arabia and the Mediterranean before concluding with two nights in Venice.

Silversea plans an enrichment program featuring distinguished destination experts, academics, journalists, diplomats and other specialists. Local entertainment, cooking demonstrations, wine tastings and regional specialties will provide further destination immersion.

Full world cruise passengers will get amenities including a gala bon voyage reception, dinner and overnight stay at the Mandarin Oriental hotel in Miami, included business class air and transfers, free baggage valet service, a $4,000 on-board spending credit (per suite), complimentary laundry service, Internet package and commemorative gifts.

Additionally, passengers who sail all 115 days will be invited to three exclusive, complimentary events. These include a masked ball in Venice, an elegant lunch on a private island in Sydney Harbor and a chartered jet flight to India's Taj Mahal for a tour followed by lunch and a return flight to Silver Whisper. Plus, three complimentary 'Silversea Experiences' will highlight Easter Island, Vietnam's Halong Bay and the Royal Opera House of Muscat.

Air-inclusive fares start at $59,950 per person, double occupancy.
