Silversea's Silver Whisper calls at Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah and Yanbu ports

Silver Whisper is the second Silversea Cruises vessel and the fourth cruise ship overall to sail Saudi Arabia.

Traditional plaque and key exchange ceremonies took place last week at Jeddah Islamic and Yanbu ports where the vessel called as part of its 2022 world cruise, spanning 32 countries over 138 days.

Vision 2030

Stated Cruise Saudi’s CEO Lars Clasen, '...Cruise Saudi was launched with a clear goal of establishing cruising as a new economic pillar, another growth engine and an experiential dimension to the country’s flourishing tourism industry in line with the goals of Vision 2030 – the Saudi leadership’s transformation blueprint.

Jeddah and Yanbu

A new destination

Silversea, MSC Cruises, Scenic Group and Viking have collectively sailed more than 70 voyages to Saudi Arabia during the summer and winter seasons in 2021 and 2022.

 Silversea’s Silver Spirit took part in a trial summer season in Saudi Arabia in 2020.
