Six MSC Cruises ships will homeport in South America for the continent’s 2023-24 cruise season, with the 2022-23 season now underway following today’s departure of MSC Fantasia from the port of Santos, Brazil.

Next year, the cruise line will deploy five vessels in Brazil and one in Argentina. MSC Grandiosa, MSC Preziosa and MSC Armonia will homeport in Santos, MSC Seaview in Rio de Janeiro, MSC Lirica in Itajai and MSC Musica in Buenos Aires.

Bookings open December 1.

The announcement was made ahead of MSC Fantasia’s sailing on November 2 - the first of 132 seasonal cruises that the line will operate in South America in 2022-23 with four ships offering a 68% increase in cabins compared to the 2019-2020 season.

The vessel will be joined by MSC Seashore, MSC Seaview and MSC Armonia for a variety of cruises in South America that include 10 destinations in Brazil, Buenos Aires in Argentina and Montevideo and Punta Del Este in Uruguay.

Forecast

MSC Cruises forecasts that it will welcome almost 400,000 passengers over the 2022-23 South American season, including 50,000 international passengers.
