Tortola Pier Park in 'last lap' before planned Dec. 22 opening

That's a day when Disney Fantasy, Wind Surf and MSC Orchestra are scheduled to call.

A newly posted video shows what Stoutt described as 'the last lap to finish buildings.'

Various colorful retail structures are under construction, along with a museum, and paving was about to be laid in an open area that will house a bar and kiosks.

One of the completed retail buildings is being outfitted by a tenant, Stoutt said.

Also, Tortola Pier Park's power generation center has been installed and in the video is shown being enclosed by a protective structure.

Adjacent to Road Town's newly expanded cruise pier, Tortola Pier Park will offer retail, dining, entertainment and recreation in a facility that will be open to the public.
