TUI Cruises formed a new integrated Destinations Department for its Mein Schiff brand, led by Marcus Puttich.

Recently promoted to director destinations, Puttich is heading a team focussing on a more engagement-focused commitment towards destinations and an advanced emphasis on the tour operations product delivery.

Port, ground and tour operations

He will oversee all operational, planning, sourcing and developments aspects of port operations for both Mein Schiff and Hapag-Lloyd Cruises, and tour operations and ground operations for Mein Schiff.

Puttich reports to Dennis Tetzlaff, VP fleet operations & newbuild and, together with Denis Wiechert, VP product management & guest experience, will co-ordinate closely with the destinations in a joint aim to achieve strategic operational and financial targets for tour operations.

Additional responsibilities

Maria Tauschke, head of shore operations, assumes additional operational responsibilities for tour operations (Mein Schiff fleet), in addition to port operations and ground operations, reporting to Puttich.

Carolin Bauer, head of onboard commerce management Mein Schiff, assumes additional responsibilities for revenue and yield management of the brand‘s tour operations, including product development and active tours, such as bike and hiking reporting to Nina Krüger, director product management & hotel operations.

Krüger reports to Wiechert who, together with Tetzlaff, report to CEO Wybcke Meier.

The changes reflect TUI Cruises’ expansion plans which see three more cruise vessels on order for its Mein Schiff brand through 2026.
