Carnival Venezia arrived to its new winter home at Port Canaveral, becoming the fifth Carnival Cruise Line ship based there.

With this, the port racks up a record 16 homeporting cruise vessels.

Long partnership

'We’ve have had a long and successful partnership with Carnival Cruise Line for nearly 35 years. We’re very proud of our collective growth and thrilled to play a role in their continuing success with Carnival Venezia added to our incredible lineup of homeported ships,' Port Canaveral CEO Capt. John Murray said.

Carnival Venezia arrived Wednesday from a 12-day 'Carnival Journeys' cruise, repositioning from New York where it has been sailing since its summer 2023 debut. Seasonal cruises from Canaveral will visit destinations throughout The Bahamas, Caribbean and Mexico.

The new deployment begins with a four-day Bahamas getaway and continues with 15 weeklong eastern and Western Caribbean sailings as well as two special 14-day 'Carnival Journeys.'

More options for Carnival fans

'Our Venice-themed ship adds another truly dynamic offering, with a fresh Italian twist on our signature Carnival fun plus the same friendly service our guests love, and further enriches the variety of convenient options available to our loyal guests cruising from Orlando,' Carnival President Christine Duffy said.

Carnival Venezia joins Mardi Gras, Carnival Vista, Carnival Glory and Carnival Freedom, which operate diverse itineraries, from three-/four-day Bahamas jaunts to Caribbean cruises of five to eight days and several longer 'Carnival Journeys.'
