This will be the most calls Dover has ever received from Viking.

‘With its interesting history and superb location, Dover is a very popular port of call for our guests from all around the world who enjoy exploring every corner of Kent,’ said Wendy Atkin-Smith, MD, Viking UK.

‘Based on high levels of demand, we have opened up bookings for most of our itineraries, including "British Isles Explorer," through until the end of 2025 so we're looking forward to calling in to Dover on our small ocean ships, which can accommodate 930 guests, over the next few years.’

Three inaugural calls

The 60 calls will see several Viking vessels, including Viking Venus, Viking Neptune, Viking Jupiter, Viking Mars, Viking Saturn and Viking Sky sail into Dover, with three inaugural calls.

Dover planning to extend cruise terminals

‘We were delighted to welcome the wonderful Viking Neptune to Dover for the first time this week, only four months since it became Viking’s newest ship,’ remarked Sonia Limbrick, head of cruise at the Port of Dover.

‘We have a fantastic relationship with Viking and I’m excited to take it to the next level in the coming years.

‘At the doorstep of the Garden of England and with exciting plans for future expansion of the cruise terminals, Dover provides world class travel to hundreds of thousands of cruise passengers every year.

‘We are thrilled that Viking’s customers will get to experience this, and Kent’s inspiring culture, history and charm now and beyond.’
