Viking's 2024-25 world cruise will be offered as a 180-day circumnavigation from Fort Lauderdale to New York or four shorter iterations.

The full voyage sails Dec. 19, 2024 to June 17, 2025 and visits 37 countries and 85 ports, with overnight stays at 13 cities.

The announcement comes at a time of record bookings with the launch of Viking’s new 25th Anniversary Sale on Jan. 1 resulting in the highest number of bookings in one week in the company’s history. On Jan. 9, Viking scored its strongest single sales day ever.

Strong demand expected

'Our previous world cruises sold out in a matter of weeks, and we continue to see strong demand from our guests for extended voyages,' Viking Chairman Torstein Hagen said.

The 930-passenger Viking Sky will explore Central America, transit the Panama Canal and journey up the West Coast of North America before crossing the Pacific Ocean and calling at the Hawaiian islands and French Polynesia then traversing New Zealand and Australia. The voyage continues through Asia, the Middle East, the Mediterranean and Northern Europe before crossing the Atlantic and ending at New York.

The detailed itinerary is here.

Shorter versions

A shorter 163-day portion of the sailing departs from Los Angeles on Jan. 5, 2025 and visits 29 countries and 78 ports before ending at New York. Other options are a 138-day Fort Lauderdale-London (Greenwich) voyage or a 121-day Los Angeles-London journey visiting 23 countries.

Overnight and double overnight stays

Overnight stays are offered in 13 ports such as Sydney, Haifa, Singapore and Istanbul, and double overnights in Auckland, Bali, Ho Chi Minh, Yangon, Mumbai and Bergen.

Starting at $79,995, with savings through March 31
