The lovely water city of Yeosu is surrounded by 365 islands that appear out on the ocean like lotus pads in a pond and create the beauty that is the coastline of Yeosu. In 2012, Yeosu successfully held the World Expo with a theme dealing with the ocean. It was the first of its kind in Korea and as a result of this Yeosu has become the representative city for ocean tours in Korea.
