$100m glow-up for Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas

Royal Caribbean International is pouring more than $100m into Allure of the Seas, transforming the pool deck and adding features like a Pesky Parrot tiki bar, the Ultimate Abyss dry slide and new suites above the bridge.

The Oasis-class ship, built in 2010, will emerge from its glow-up in April 2025 for a season of weeklong western Mediterranean cruises from Barcelona.

Thrills and chills

Resort-style pools are at the center of the action on the reimagined Caribbean pool deck, alongside a wider variety of seating and shade across casitas, in-pool loungers, daybeds and more.

Allure will gain the multistory trio The Perfect Storm with the Cyclone and Typhoon racing waterslides and the SuperCell champagne bowl.

Royal Caribbean's signature poolside bar, The Lime & Coconut, across two locations, will serve popular classics and twists, live music and day and night vibes. And a poolside El Loco Fresh will serve tacos, burritos and quesadillas.

Splashaway Bay for tots and tweens features slides, water cannons, fountains, pools and whirlpools, plus two drench buckets.

For a laidback adults-only escape, the Solarium introduces new touches, complete with the favorite Samba Grill and dedicated bars.

Pesky Parrot, Playmakers, Mason Jar

Making its way to Allure following a standout debut on the new Utopia of the Seas, the Pesky Parrot serves fruit-based cocktails and frozen drinks.

At Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade, all ages have a seat at the table to catch live games on dozens of TVs, play arcade classics and refuel on bar fare, with ice-cold brews for the adults.

Only on Wonder and Utopia of the Seas today, The Mason Jar Southern Restaurant & Bar will bring Southern comfort food and live country music to Allure.

The Ultimate Abyss dry slide will offer 10 stories of twists, turns, lights and sounds.

The latest Royal Escape Room, 'Apollo 18: Lunar Landing,' puts families and friends in the hot seat of the command center in 1973 as they look for clues and solve puzzles to land Apollo 18 on the moon before time runs out.

Studio B ice rink will transform into a glow-in-the-dark laser tag arena for vacationers to challenge each other and go head-to-head in 'Battle for Planet Z.'

A new layout in Adventure Ocean for kids includes climbable creations at Play Place, the AO Theater, hands-on art, science and tech at Workshop; physical, interactive games at Arena; the Hangout; plus dedicated programs for babies and younger kids.

A transformation of the teen spaces at Social298 brings video games, music, movies and other ways to kick back with new friends.

Plus, Allure will add new ultimate panoramic suites above the bridge, with 200-degree views from floor-to-ceiling windows, more than 900 square feet of space with a living area, walk-in closet and exclusive amenities as part of the top Royal Suite Class tier, Star Class, like a dedicated Royal Genie.

Following the success of the amplified Oasis of the Seas in 2019, Allure is the latest in the Oasis class to be reimagined as part of the Royal Amplified program, introduced in 2018.

Europe then Port Everglades

Allure will among six Royal Caribbean ships sailing from five destinations in Europe for summer 2025 before heading to Port Everglades in November for six- and eight-nice cruises to the eastern Caribbean and Bahamas including Perfect Day at CocoCay and Royal Beach Club Paradise Island in Nassau.
