Astor to get major makeover

Premicon, owner of 20,606gt Astor, built in 1987, is to give the ship an extensive makeover including the addition of new suites and balconies, refurbishment of passenger cabins and creation of a single sitting dining arrangement that is planned to be undertaken at Lloyd Werft shipyard in Bremerhaven.

Following refurbishment, Astor will re-enter service in June 2010 and operate the already published Transocean Tours 2010 Astor brochure.

Bremen-based Transocean Tours, is planning a restructuring of its business after voluntarily filing for insolvency protection in the German courts. The restructuring plans are being supported by Munich-based Premicon.
