Blog follows Ocean Village Two-Pacific Jewel transformation

An official blog was launched today for consumers and the trade to watch the multimillion-dollar makeover of Ocean Village Two at the Sembawang Shipyard in Singapore and follow her repositioning voyage to join the fleet of P&O Cruises Australia as Pacific Jewel.

Scottish cruise industry veteran Ken Flavell, based at Carnival Australia’s head office in Sydney in the lead up to joining Pacific Jewel as hotel director, has given a preview of the reburbishment programme on the pacificjewel.pocruises.com.au site.

Ocean Village Two will make her final voyage from Crete to Singapore via the Suez Canal and India on October 22. She enters drydock on November 14 and sails for Sydney on December 1.

A grand inauguration ceremony is planned for December 12 in her new home port, before she sails the following day on her maiden cruise as Pacific Jewel.
