Following the recent upgrade of its Lobith facilities, Dutch shipyard De Hoop now boasts a range of facilities to perform newbuilding as well as refits, conversions and upgrades.

This year, De Hoop Shiprepair anticipates a series of vessels to visit the yard for major or minor modifications. Amongst the line-up are: River Discovery II, River Navigator, Bizet, River Melody, River Harmony, River Rhapsody and River Concerto as well as the Amadeus Symphony, Amadeus Classic, Amadeus Princess, Amadeus Diamond, Amadeus Elegant and Amadeus Brilliant.
Work will vary from maintenance and repairs to complete interior refits as well as conversions or installing new equipment such as engines, thrusters or sewage treatment systems, in response to regulatory revisions.
A broad range of interior restyling work is planned such as all new interior cabins for River Navigator and the addition of French balconies on Amadeus Classic.
In addition, De Hoop has recently invested in laser equipment with which the alignment of engines, generators and thrusters can be inspected and if necessary repaired.
Shipyard De Hoop has two shipyards in the Netherlands: De Hoop Lobith, in the east of the country, with 135 employees and De Hoop Foxhol, in the north, with 65 employees. The two shipyards together have an annual turnover of around €100m. The yard offers slipway facilities for vessels up to 200mtr in length.
