Cabins onboard Swan Hellenic’s SH Minerva fashioned by ALMACO
SH Minerva's passenger cabins, and cabins and public spaces for crew, were created for the Swan Hellenic vessel by ALMACO.
ALMACO was responsible for the design, procurement and construction of the spaces onboard the first of the Vega-class series of ships, with the work carried out at Helsinki Shipyard.
‘It has been great to work with Helsinki Shipyard and Swan Hellenic on this project,’ said Esko Ryyppö, the project manager in charge of the Vega series project at ALMACO. ‘The project got off to a good start in April 2020 and was completed in 1.5 years.
‘We were expecting challenges due to the unstable market situation and took extra precautions to ensure the project was a success. Thanks to the great cooperation with Helsinki Shipyard and Swan Hellenic, we were able to deliver the project successfully.’
Design
The vessel contains 76 spacious passenger cabins and six suites, divided up into Oceanview, Balcony, Suite and Premium Suite, and has sizable crew cabins. Large bathrooms and sweeping views of the ocean are another feature of the passenger cabins.
The interiors have an elegant ‘Scandi-luxe’ chic feel.
SH Minerva
SH Minerva, which holds 120 crew members and 152 passengers, boarded its first guests in Ushuaia, Argentina on December 27. The vessel rescued an expedition team from the Antarctic Peninsula last month.
