Chelsom lists cruise clients including Royal Caribbean, Carnival, Disney, Norwegian Cruise Line and Windstar.

Managing director Robert Chelsom said, ‘I am very proud of the business my parents started in 1947 and my son Will has now been in the business for the past five years.

‘We moved from having one retail shop to supplying Harrods, Fortnum & Mason and other top name retailers.

This milestone year has culminated in Chelsom attaining a sales presence across the globe with a strong network of agents in America, a permanent base in the Middle East, agents across Europe and a manned office in Hong Kong to deal with all Asian enquiries.

The US network now numbers 25 agents covering every state. Chelsom has also appointed a head of marine sales in the US to build on the success in the cruise marketplace.

Vanessa Soley Peters, who has almost 20 years experience with Chelsom, is now permanently based in Dubai to develop the Middle East market, supported by distributors across the region.

In Europe, project sales are increasing steadily after securing exclusive agents to cover Sweden, Denmark, Bulgaria, Finland and Spain. Plans are in place to widen the European sales network over the coming months.
