The designs are 'inspired by the past and set for the future,' Carnival UK President Sture Myrmell said.

'Golden age' of travel feeling on a ship for the future

'It's going to feel like you stepped back into the the golden age of travel, but it's not going to feel like you stepped back in time,' said Lewis Taylor, design director, David Collins Studio. 'It's going to feel very contemporary. It's going to feel like a ship for the future.'

Designers David Collins Studio, Richmond International and Sybille de Margerie, working with Creative Director Adam Tihany, collaborated on a concept built on heritage, craftsmanship, storytelling, style and innovation. They tapped into the Cunard Archives at the University of Liverpool, sourcing a rich trove of documents and details on layout, materials, fabrics, patterns and textures.

'We have added layers of architectural details and design codes that refer back to Cunard's history and that add a touch of whimsy and British eccentricity to the experiences,' Taylor said.

Grand Lobby with changing lighting

The Grand Lobby is designed to provide a show-stopping entrance with a three-level, back-lit metal mural sculpture and lighting effects that change from bright in the morning to dimmer and more glamorous at night. Art deco elements pay homage to the 'golden age' of travel.

Bold color palette

The color palette was individually curated for every space. Bold new colors elevate the signature spaces and Queens Grill Suites, deep blues with flashes of golden yellow in the Britannia staterooms have been chosen to reflect the sea and shimmer of sunlight, and deep, rich tones of red, amber and gold heighten the luxurious lounge feel of the Princess Grill Suites.

For the Princess and Queens Grill restaurants, the bright colors include elements of gold, to reinforce the luxurious but refined overall design aesthetic.

Queens Grand Suites

Designed by David Collins Studio, the Queens Grill Grand Suites have a dedicated dining room and adjacent butler's pantry, walk-in wardrobes, marble bathrooms with sea views, a spacious bedroom and the largest balconies onboard.

The Princess Grill Suites, designed by Sybille de Margerie, are warm, inviting and surrounded in the softest materials and delicate textures for an intimate experience featuring a bespoke dressing table and bar area with pattern wall panel inspired by the flowing lines of Cunard's past liners, sculpted ceiling panels and grand saloon carpets by textile designer, Corinne Hughes.

The Britannia balcony staterooms provide cozy sofa seating areas looking out to sea, and light, bright bathrooms with glass walk-in showers.

15 restaurants

Queen Anne will have more dining choice, with many new restaurants. The 15 restaurants will serve a wide variety of cuisines from around the world.

They include familiars like the strikingly grand Britannia Restaurant. The reimagined Golden Lion pub is a 'warm, familiar, hearty space, bathed in golden light,' with warm materials and woods, according to Amal Yusuf, design manager, David Collins Studio.

It's very much a traditional English pub but with artwork and details that add a little British eccentricity.

Royal Court Theatre

The reimagined Royal Court Theatre, a two-deck, 825-seat space designed by Richmond International, is inspired by the great sound halls of the world. Seating is adorned in rich velvet.

New wellness and beauty concept

A first for Cunard will be a new wellness and beauty concept with a wide selection of fitness, beauty, thermal and spa suite facilities in a contemporary, open and airy aesthetic.

Updated livery

The ship's updated exterior will sport Cunard's famous red funnel and debut an updated livery, with a finessed design of the iconic crest and introduction of an elegant new font inspired by the grand ocean liners of the past, to confidently present the name Queen Anne on the forward bow.

Queen Anne will set sail in early 2024, with its maiden season available to book in May.
