Ten cruises were canceled.

Supply chain issues

Renovation of the former Maasdam, in dry dock at Damen Yards in Brest since October, is behind schedule due to global supply chain disruptions — specifically, parts from Asia. This is despite the best efforts of subcontractors, according to CFC co-founders Clément Mousset, CEO, and Cédric Rivoire-Perrochat, GM.

The ship is undergoing a technical refit and an extensive makeover and upgrade of the interiors.

'We want to ensure that the experience and the services provided to our passengers meet the expectations for a premium company,' Mousset and Rivoire-Perrochat said.

Inaugural cruise May 14

The 1,100-passenger Renaissance is now expected to depart on its inaugural cruise May 14 from Le Havre, following its christening there on May 9.

The 12-day 'Celtic Rythms and Legends' voyage will call at Kinsale, Glengariff, Galway, Killybegs, Londonderry, Belfast, Dublin, St Mary (Isle of Scilly) and St. Peter Port (Guernsey).

Passengers booked on canceled sailings may request a refund or reschedule for a later date.

An updated CFC brochure is to be published soon.
