Desso has Queen Elizabeth covered

Approximately 13,200sq mtr of tailor-made Axminster woven carpets were designed and manufactured by DESSO for the corridors, the state rooms and various public areas such as grand lobbies, shops, conference rooms, card rooms, etc. 

Broadloom carpets can create a luxurious yet practical interior notes the Dutch manufacturer. Of equal importance is the quality and safety of these carpets, it notes.

DESSO has been providing custom made and stock floor coverings to the cruise and ferry sector for more than two decades, and all carpets are tested in the company’s in-house laboratory as well as in external test facilities. All its marine products meet requirements for international markets and marine regulations such as the MSC 61 (67) part two and five resolutions. Also, DESSO is ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and EN9100 certified.

By 2020, DESSO’s aim is for all products to be made from pure components that are easy to disassemble, in order to create new products (called up cycling) in both the biological and technical cycles. They will also be produced using manufacturing processes which rely on renewable energy, seek to conserve water and embrace social responsibility.
