In addition to witnessing specialist teams produce colour samples and decking designs, advanced testing equipment such as the Inzoomer, Pounder and Cliffhanger can be seen in action as part of the ‘living lab’ experience.

Augmented reality

Opportunities to interact with the exhibits and utilise the augmented reality applications are part of the customisable experience, which aims to showcase innovation in synthetic applications. Currently accepting only a limited number of physical guests while coronavirus restrictions are in place, since its opening last year the Center has been visited by representatives from Norwegian Cruise Line, Disney Cruise Lines, YSA Design, SMC Design and Mercy Ships.

Creative practices

‘You will still get a chance to learn about our products and the chemistry behind them, and explore the creative possibilities that they can unleash’, says Jacco van Overbeek, director of maritime, Bolidt. ‘The difficult situation we are now all in forces us to think creatively and outside the box on the way we work, where we work and how we can still collaborate and co-create’.
