Marina gains trio of F&B venues, redesigned penthouse suites

Alexis Quaretti briefs staff at Marina's Aquamar Kitchen, one of three new F&B venues on board
Oceania Cruises' Marina emerged from a refurbishment with a new wellness-focused dining venue, poolside ice cream parlor, alfresco pizzeria and redesigned penthouse suites.

Marina gained wellness venue Aquamar Kitchen, which debuted on the new Vista last year; a poolside ice cream parlor serving milkshakes and smoothies; and a pizzeria with sumptuous Italian dishes.

The finest cuisine doesn't have to be formal

'The addition of these three relaxed, yet refined, eateries to Marina is the perfect way to spotlight that "The Finest Cuisine at Sea" does not always mean a white linen tablecloth and starched napkins at one of our award-winning specialty restaurants. It’s also a perfectly prepared pizza, accompanied by a chilled glass of white wine enjoyed on deck, as you set sail with a warm breeze around your shoulders; or a decadent poolside ice cream or flavorful smoothie as you relax on your sun lounger,' Oceania President Frank A. Del Rio said.

Oceania's recently appointed executive culinary directors Alexis Quaretti and Eric Barale are taking a look at menus across all venues on all ships to ensure the line lives up to its 'Finest Cuisine at Sea' motto with the 'best ingredients, the best team and a precise plan as to how each mouthful should taste — regardless of whether it’s a lunchtime burger at Waves Grill or an extravagant souffle in The Grand Dining Room,' Quaretti said.

Aquamar Kitchen

Open for breakfast and lunch, Aquamar Kitchen presents wellness-inspired menus with a hint of indulgence. At breakfast, this means smoothies, cold-pressed juices and energy bowls shine, while lunch offers avocado toast selections and globally inspired salads and wraps.

Heartier options include an Impossible burger, yellowfin tuna tacos and a crunchy chicken sandwich. The beverage menu offers premium, award-winning non-alcoholic French wines from Pierre Zero and mocktails crafted with Lyre’s non-alcoholic spirits.

Due to the addition of Aquamar Kitchen, signature pairing dinners featured in La Reserve will now be showcased in Privée, Marina’s exclusive private dining venue.

Waves Grill transforms into the Pizzeria

In the evening, Waves Grill transforms into an alfresco Pizzeria featuring freshly made pizzas, grilled Italian specialties, salads. rosemary focaccia with burrata and indulgent desserts, including a Nutella pizza.

An all-day ice cream parlor was added to the pool deck. Choices include a selection from award-winning artisan ice cream company Humphry Slocombe, plus milkshakes and smoothies.

Marina's penthouse suites were redone with custom-crafted furniture, new closets and cabinetry, new carpets and upholstery, updated lighting and new bathrooms

124 redesigned penthouse suites

The 124 penthouse suites added custom-crafted furniture, new closets and cabinetry to increase storage space, new carpets and upholstery, updated lighting and additional outlets and USB ports. Each penthouse suite bathroom was sleekly restyled with Italian marble throughout, abundant drawer space and generous oversized showers.

Public spaces including Martinis, Horizons, The Grand Dining Room and Library were updated with plush new carpets and refreshed upholstery, and specialty steak house Polo Grill has a fresh new look with new carpeting, stylish window treatments and sleek, pillowed-leather dining chairs.

Fully updated fleet

This work on the 2011-built Marina means Oceania Cruises now fields a fully updated fleet with six ships that were refurbished since 2018 along with the new Vista, whose sister, Allura, is coming in July 2025.
