Coming exclusively to Norwegian Breakaway: Silver Screen Bistro, replacing the Spiegel TentRENDERING: NORWEGIAN CRUISE LINE

Norwegian Breakaway will debut a new movie and dining experience, along with the new Horizon Park outdoor recreation area, also coming to Norwegian Bliss.

Other changes include the extension of dining venues such as Cagney’s Steakhouse and Teppanyaki by replacing other restaurants, expanded top accommodations in The Haven by Norwegian and more balcony staterooms.

All are coming in dry docks for Norwegian Bliss, Jan. 17-Feb. 2, prior to its Caribbean season, and for Norwegian Breakaway, Feb. 19-March 14, before its Europe cruises.

Norwegian Bliss

Horizon Park will provide a versatile new outdoor gathering space for lawn-style games such as cornhole and giant Jenga, and reclining loungers for sunbathing on the top deck. The relaxed space, with sweeping views, is designed by Norwegian Cruise Line's Innovation Team in collaboration with SMC Design and Conductr.

Building on the demand for the new three-bedroom category in The Haven by Norwegian, first seen on Norwegian Prima then expanded to Norwegian Joy and Norwegian Encore in 2024, Norwegian Bliss will also get updated accommodations for the Premiere Owner’s Suites with Large Balconies. These top-tier suites will now include three bedrooms, 3.5 baths a separate dining room overlooking The Haven Horizon Lounge and fully refurbished living areas, master bedrooms and outdoor balcony furnishings.

26 additional balcony rooms

Repurposing a portion of the Observation Lounge on Deck 15, the ship will also add 24 balcony staterooms and two club balcony staterooms.

Cagney’s Steakhouse will expand, replacing Los Lobos, and an expanded Teppanyaki will replace Coco’s. Palomar, the elevated seafood restaurant that premiered on Norwegian Prima in 2022, will take over for Ocean Blue.

Following the dry dock, on Feb. 2 Norwegian Bliss will embark on a 13-day repositioning cruise from Southampton to Miami before sailing to the western Caribbean from Miami in February, the Mexican Riviera in March and to Alaska from Seattle starting in April.

Breakaway's Silver Screen Bistro exclusive

Developed by NCL's Innovation Team and Studio DADO, Norwegian Breakaway's Silver Screen Bistro promises to be an immersive movie and dining venue for all ages, replacing the Spiegel Tent.

Silver Screen Bistro will offer comfy, oversized recliners and retractable tables for shareable handheld menu items including select dishes from the global fusion specialty restaurant Food Republic.

Like Norwegian Bliss, the ship will gain a Horizon Park with an additional feature, an expansive stage for live music and entertainment.

Joining from the Prima-class ships is The Stadium, the complimentary outdoor activities concept offering family-friendly games.

Dining changes

Cagney’s Steakhouse will replace Moderno Churrascaria to add more seating, and Ocean Blue will become Palomar.

Vibe Beach Club, the adults-only outdoor venue, and The Haven Sun Deck will be expanded with additional seating and cabanas.

Following the dry dock, Norwegian Breakaway will sail a variety of itineraries from Barcelona and Trieste to destinations including Livorno, Palma de Mallorca, Cannes and Corfu.
