The page was published a few years ago and the main purpose was to be a tool to further improve our customer support. The idea was that in our communication with clients, they could get an easily accessible overview of the standard assortment together with basic information about the product.

'We now see that our target groups find and use the site on their own, which is very good,' says Ingemar Forsberg, CEO of Metalcolour Group.

At present, there are digital samples of all designs in the standard assortment, which also are available in Metalcolour's popular DOBEL Design Chart. In total, they have about 400 colours, textures, patterns and designs in stock and another about 1,000 available on order.

'If we see that the increase persists and maybe even increases further, we should of course consider adding more digital samples to our website,' says Ingemar. 'We clearly see that availability of design samples and products is of great benefit at an early stage in the ship projects we have been involved in. Therefore, our customer support has well-established routines for arranging samples and ensuring that they quickly reach our clients.'

Most DOBEL products supplied are manufactured with a steel base with a thickness of between 0.5- and 1.5-mm. Different variants of steel are almost exclusively in demand for the marine sector but also for projects in the construction industry. Most DOBEL products can also be manufactured with a base of Aluminum. This often involves projects where low weight is of great importance, such as the interior design of train carriages. When it comes to the train industry, Metalcolour sees great potential in a near future. DOBEL F105 is tested and fully approved to meet the highest fire safety standards according to EN 45545 HL3. With this product Metalcolour sets out to replace older manufacturing methods with new, more efficient techniques. These changes result in the reduction of lead-times, buying-stages and have a significant effect on lowering both weight and cost.

'When it comes to samples of different designs and products, we would like to send a special and sincere invitation to designers and architects who work with ships, train carriages and buildings. We are happy to share information about the properties of our products and will make sure that you get samples in the fastest possible way,' Ingemar concludes.
