Paul Gauguin Cruises gives a peek at new-look Tere Moana

The plans include new furniture, upholstery, art, lighting, wall coverings, carpeting, ceiling finishes, window treatments, paint schemes, flooring and floor coverings for staterooms and public spaces.
 
Eight of the 45 staterooms will have balconies. All staterooms offer ocean views and will have a queen-size bed convertible to twin-bed configuration with fine linens and down duvets. Accommodations will offer robes and slippers, a flat-screen television, DVD/CD player, a refrigerator replenished daily with soft drinks, beer and bottled water, and a bathroom with sumptuous bath products. 
 
The Moana’s two elegant dining venues will incorporate regionally infused cuisine featuring fresh ingredients from local markets. L’Etoile will showcase culinary creations by Jean-Pierre Vigato, chef propriétaire of the two-star Michelin-rated Apicius restaurant in Paris. La Veranda will serve breakfast and lunch with indoor and outdoor dining, and transform into a gourmet, reservation-only enue nightly.
 
Evenings will feature live piano music and lectures in Le Salon. La Boutique will showcase apparel, sundries, souvenirs and jewelry. The Deep Nature Spa by Algotherm will offer signature spa treatments, and the fitness center will be equipped with the latest cardio and weightlifting equipment.
 
In select ports, the watersports marina will offer kayaking and paddleboarding. The pool area will have chaise lounges and Balinese beds.

In December and March, The Moana is scheduled to sail seven-night Caribbean voyages from St. Martin to destinations in the French West Indies, British Virgin Islands, and St. Kitts & Nevis. In January and February, 13- and 14-night Panama Canal cruises feature calls at Cartagena, Colombia, and the wildlife reserves of Costa Rica. From April through November, The Moana will operate varied European voyages.

Paul Gauguin Cruises is offering savings of 50% off standard fares for the new ship. Past passengers of The Gauguin get additional savings of 5%. And passengers who book select departures by Sept. 1 can receive a 10% discount.
