If you have ever stepped foot on a cruise ship you have almost certainly touched one of our products. Metalcolour leads the market in film laminated metals for the marine industry, so even if you haven’t heard of us, we’ve most likely been in contact.

So, allow us the pleasure of introducing you to Dobel by Metalcolour – our methods, our vision and our drive towards perfection.

Dobel and Metalcolour are well-known and highly trusted brands in the marine industry worldwide. We have recently celebrated our 50th anniversary giving us the opportunity to look back on how much we have achieved, at the same time as looking forward to how much more we want to progress. Ingemar Forsberg is Chairman at Metalcolour Sweden:

We have built our reputation on listening closely to our partners and responding with innovative solutions and a can-do attitude. This is the key to the evolution of Metalcolour. And we continue to respond to market desires in the same way we did at the very beginning. The future will always bring new challenges and our growth as a company will depend on doing what we know best, fine-tuning our products and services to deliver perfection.

An open mind and innovative thinking have always been way to go at Metalcolour. After years of focused dedication, we are proud that we were one of the first companies within the industry to develop and introduce a fully certified fire-proof film laminated steel. Another highly valued feature is the use of heat applied protective film. Per Nord is Sales Manager at Metalcolour Sweden.

One major difference between Metalcolour and other suppliers of Film Laminated Metal Sheets is that Metalcolour uses heat applied protective film. This means that our clients can shape, punch and form the material without any damages to the surface. Metalcolour is probably the only supplier of this for all our products, which is very appreciated by our clients.

To continually deliver the highest quality requires commitment. We feel fortunate to have a team where everyone shares the passionate belief that there is a way to do things better – to deliver faster, to be more flexible, to reach higher standards. Markus Nordkvist, Managing Director at Metalcolour Sweden, emphasizes that this is a key factor for Metalcolour's success.

We are extremely proud of all of our staff who truly understands their commitment and what that brings to Metalcolour. The depth of knowledge and experience our staff posess is second to none with average duration of employment being almost 20 years. And so, our products are the best on the market for a reason. They are backed up by decades of experience, quality assurance and delivery guarantees.

Scandinavian manufacturing has some of the highest standards in the world. “Made 100% in Scandinavia" is a standard we are very proud to meet. Alongside a safe and healthy work environment we continually work towards lowering our impact on the natural environment. We now offer film laminated metals with a bio-sourced and phthalate-free PVC made from Pine Oil, a renewable by-product of the wood pulping industry. We exclusively purchase fossil-free electricity and use river water instead of drinking water in our cooling processes with no impact to the river’s health. We are also a certified zero-pollution clean air company having entirely removed harmful solvents from our production process.

We live in an increasingly fast-paced world overly influenced by data, reorganisation and market disruption. At Metalcolour we hope you are not disappointed when we say that we favour consistency, continuity and a delivery reliability that few suppliers can offer. Dobel by Metalcolour has built its dependable brand on reliability, quality and partnership but then again, you probably already know that.

Ingemar Forsberg states that all the investments in resources and effort in taking a market leading position and keeping it, has paid off.

–We are very seldom the cheapest, so we must always be the best.
