An updated and rebranded Deli and the new Bonsai Sushi Express are among the dining changes.
AquaTunnel, Twister, PowerDrencher
WaterWorks features a 203-foot-long AquaTunnel slide and Carnival Cruise Line's signature 212-foot-long Twister slide along with a 75-gallon PowerDrencher tipping bucket and SplashZone area for kids.
The nine-hole miniature golf course was relocated to Deck 11, providing family fun in the fresh air.
The success of the full-service Bonsai Sushi restaurants has spawned Bonsai Express, a casual spot serving an array of sushi, sashimi, rolls and more.
Located on Deck 9, the enlarged Deli offers a menu of piled-high sandwiches, panini and traditional sides.
More retail choices
Carnival Freedom also gained a mall-style shopping area lined with retail outlets offering fine jewelry, watches and fragrances, along with the line’s own branded spaces including the all-new Carnival Adventures shop. The new shop offers items ranging snorkel gear and swim fins to sunscreen and waterproof backpacks.
Following the drydock, Carnival Freedom resumed its year-round schedule of six- and seven-day Caribbean cruises from Galveston that visit ports in Jamaica, Mexico, Belize and Grand Cayman.
