Celestyal Crystal gains 43 balconies in Piraeus refit
Forty-three balconies were added to Celestyal Crystal accommodations during a refurbishment in Piraeus, and upgrades to a pair of other Celestyal Cruises vessels are in progress.

Twenty-six of the balconies were installed in cabins on Deck 6 and 17 in rooms on Deck 7. Eight existing balconies were refurbished and extended.

The work was completed over a 20-day period in tandem with other hotel upgrades and technical maintenance.

Celestyal Crystal now has 53 suites with balconies: 43 balcony junior suites, eight balcony suites and two imperial balcony suites. Each balcony extends 1.4 meters from the bulkhead and the length varies from 2.8 meters to 5.8 meters.

'These balconies are part of an extensive refurbishment program to continually elevate the quality of our brand and to ensure we are delivering a positive passenger experience on all of our vessels,' said Kyriakos Anastassiadis, ceo of Celestyal Cruises. He praised the work of the Piraeus shipbuilders, adding 'the level of craftsmanship is further proof of the quality of maritime construction available in our country. We are tremendously pleased with the results.'

Refurbishment of other Celestyal Cruises vessels is ongoing, including 21 junior suites, nine suites and the remaining 227 outside cabins on Celestyal Olympia, and a number of upgrades in public areas. All the cabins and the public spaces on Celestyal Nefeli also will be redecorated.

'We are committed to the continuous upgrade of the Celestyal fleet and quite excited about the improved décor and comfort we will be able to provide to our cruisers going forward,' said Pythagoras Nagos, vp sales for Celestyal Cruises.
