Fincantieri, Mariotti among yards weighed for Silver Cloud conversion
Fincantieri and T. Mariotti are among the potential yards to handle the conversion of Silver Cloud into an ice-class ship for expedition cruising, but no decision has been taken, Silversea Cruises ceo Enzo Visone told Seatrade Cruise News.

T. Mariotti is the yard that completed and outfitted Silver Cloud in 1994, after the hull was built by Visentini shipyard.

In September Silversea announced the plan to move its original ship into its luxury expedition fleet in November 2017.

An extensive conversion is scheduled to start in August that year.
