Legend in the dock at Sembawang
Royal Caribbean International’s Legend of the Seas emerged on Wednesday from a month-long US$50m drydock at Sembawang Shipyard in Singapore with new features for its remaining Asia season before redeploying to Europe.

The 1995-built vessel is the most recent in the fleet to receive upgrades and Oasis-class amenities.

New dining choices are Park Café, Chef’s Table, Chops Grille and Izumi Asian Cuisine, while new lounges include the 1960s-inspired R Bar and Viking Crown Lounge nightclub.

An outdoor movie screen was added, along with aerial entertainment experiences in the Centrum.

New and updated staterooms, flat-panel televisions, digital signage and bow-to-stern Wi-Fi were part of the work, too.

Legend of the Seas will sail from Singapore before repositioning to Europe for the summer to operate cruises from Civitavecchia and Venice.
