Celebrity Millennium has emerged with redesigned staterooms and suites, 30 new accommodations, an exclusive suites lounge and sun deck, reimagined restaurants and bars, a redesigned spa and casino and new designer boutiques.

The transformation, part of the $500m Celebrity Revolution, took place during a 35-day docking at Sembawang Shipyard in Singapore.

The 2000-built Celebrity Millennium has been 'transformed from top to bottom,' Celebrity president and CEO Lisa Lutoff-Perlo said.

HBA and Kelly Hoppen

When redesigning the accommodations, Celebrity collaborated with renowned international hospitality design firm Hirsch Bedner Associates (HBA) to transform the staterooms and famed designer Kelly Hoppen to refresh the suites and bring suites lounge The Retreat to Celebrity Millennium.

The Retreat Lounge (formerly Michael's Club) provides a 24/7 haven with complimentary beverages, gourmet bites, live entertainment and concierge service. The new Retreat Sun Deck, also designed by Hoppen, features a new hot tub, cabanas, loungers and artwork.

HBA's new stateroom design was complemented by Celebrity’s eXhale bedding featuring luxurious cashmere mattresses, redesigned bathrooms with all-new finishes and fixtures and RFID lock technology with digital key access to every stateroom door.

Thirty new staterooms added

A total of 30 new staterooms includes 13 AquaClass, seven ocean-view and 10 inside rooms.

Restaurants and lounges

Celebrity Millennium has an upgraded Oceanview Café, featuring a new open concept, increased seating options and globally inspired culinary offerings. The main restaurant gained more seating and updated fixtures.

The Sunset Bar was redesigned to create a variety of inviting seating options perfect for alfresco dining or cocktails with a view.

And the redesigned Rendezvous Lounge got an enlarged bar and a quiet reading nook for curling up with a book.

Boutiques, spa, art gallery, Wi-Fi

Advanced pervasive Xcelerate Wi-Fi has been enabled on the ship.

The new boutiques feature some of the world's hottest designers including Shinola, John Hardy and Hublot.

A new, wellness-focused Spa design by renowned New York design firm Krause Sawyer transformed the treatment rooms, salon, fitness center and locker rooms. The enhanced Persian Garden thermal suite provides new therapeutic spaces and experiences such a Turkish bath, infrared sauna and salt therapy.

A new, semi-private consultation area in the fitness center is available for personal training and consultations, while the salon now features services like a blow-dry bar.

In other changes, HBA created a sleek, sophisticated new casino design, while the latest slot machines were installed and the casino bar got a more exciting look. HBA also enhanced the Art Gallery and Photo Gallery.

Improvements were made to crew areas, including accommodations, too.

Celebrity Summit has already entered drydock at Grand Bahama Shipyard for its own Celebrity Revolution transformation, with seven more ships to be modernized by 2023.
