Kamlani - upgrades will provide consistent experience across the fleet
Oceania Cruises plans to upgrade its trio of R-class ships, Regatta, Insignia, and Nautica, in a combined $50m transformation during next year’s second quarter.

Many of the amenities and design elements on the new Marina and Riviera—including Baristas coffee bar and a modern grill in the Terrace Café—will be added, while public rooms and accommodations will gain elegant new furnishings and décor.

The project 'underscores our commitment to providing our guests with a consistently outstanding experience across the entire fleet,' according to Oceania president Kunal Kamlani.

All staterooms will receive rich new décor. Penthouse suites will be transformed with new furnishings, upholstery and a vibrant yet calming palette that reflects the sea, sun and sky. Owner’s and Vista suites will receive new bathrooms featuring oversized showers along with new marble and granite vanities.

The addition of Baristas will provide complimentary illy-brand espressos, frothy cappuccinos and fresh pastries throughout the day.

The Terrace Café will be transformed with dramatic new furnishings, flooring, wall coverings and lighting. This restaurant will also feature the latest style grill to prepare cooked-to-order specialties such as steaks, lobster tails and chops.

The observation lounge, Horizons, will gain a new palette of sea blues, cocoa brown and mint and will be furnished with all new chairs and sofas.

The ships' main lounges will be completely refurbished with new carpeting, chairs and luxurious new fabrics and upholstery, and Martinis will receive new furnishings while retaining its classic ambiance.

The Canyon Ranch Spa Club will have new steam and changing rooms with dramatic new mosaics.

The pool deck will sport new furniture and tile work. The Sports Deck, located atop each ship, will have a new mini-golf course, new shuffleboard courts and a selection of deck games.

The transformed Insignia will debut on May 8 in Barcelona for a seven-day 'Jewels of Europe' cruise. This will be Insignia's first cruise after returning from a two-year charter.

Nautica will debut on May 16 in Civitavecchia for a 10-day 'Cliffs & Coves' cruise and Regatta on June 7 in Vancouver for a 10-day 'Majesty of Alaska' cruise.
