RSSC Navigator update includes new dining, Canyon Ranch spa
Regent Seven Seas Cruises gave more details about the comprehensive refurbishment planned for Seven Seas Navigator at Lloyd Werft prior to the ship’s New Year’s Caribbean voyage on Dec. 28. The enhancements complete a fleetwide rejuvenation directed by Yran & Storbraaten.

The 490-passenger Navigator will sport a ‘stunning new look and feel, two new dining venues and a spa operated by the renowned Canyon Ranch,’ said RSSC president Mark Conroy.

The new Prime 7 steak house will have a palette of green and gold with materials including leather, granite and burnished woods. The menu will feature prime-aged steaks, chops, fresh seafood and poultry.

The main dining room, Compass Rose, is set for dramatic changes with new armchairs in cranberry and opal atop plush carpets of russet and cocoa. New draperies, china, silver and glassware complete the redesign.

La Veranda, offering indoor and outdoor seating, will replace the Portofino restaurant. New furniture, carpeting and window treatments will be complemented by signature table settings. The new restaurant will serve breakfast and lunch in a casually elegant atmosphere and, in the evening, will feature regionally themed specialty dinners.

High atop the ship on Deck 11, a new Pool Grill featuring a barbecue grill, hot and cold buffet, panini station and coffee and dessert area will provide a casual, al fresco dining option that is open throughout the day.

The ship's bars and lounges will also receive transformations. A mix of traditional and contemporary furnishings with complementary upholstery, carpeting and curtains will give Stars Lounge an eclectic ambiance that RSSC described as ‘reminiscent of a chic designer estate home.’

Galileo’s will sport new colors of burgundy and gold offset with accents of lavender, sky and moss, while a new bar area is accented in tufted textiles and polished stone flooring. A new al fresco lounge will be created on the terrace with plump sofas and chaises.

New décor for the Navigator Lounge includes cappuccino, camel and navy hues accented with apple-green and lemon. The ship’s card room and library will be redecorated as well and all public spaces throughout the ship are being refreshed.

The new Canyon Ranch SpaClub will encompass a spa, wellness and fitness facility, and a full-service beauty salon. Facilities will include treatment rooms, a gym and weight room with cardio and weight-training equipment, a juice bar, men’s and women’s locker rooms, thalassotherapy, sauna and steam rooms.

Seven Seas Navigator will operate seven- to 11-night cruises to the Caribbean, Mexico and Central America this winter, followed by a summer series of seven-night Alaska cruises between Vancouver and Anchorage. After Alaska, the ship undertakes its lengthiest and most exotic voyage to date: a 96-night ‘Grand Asia Pacific’ cruise from Anchorage to San Francisco.
