Seabourn Odyssey's recent multimillion-dollar refurbishment in Genoa refreshed the vessel by creating more open, airy interiors, updating technology and adding rich, contemporary furnishings.

It was the 2009-built ship's most extensive refit, according to Seabourn's Gerald Mosslinger, VP hotel operations.

Seabourn Square, the communal hub, gained new high-end furniture, lighting and a whimsical carpet design in rich neutral tones.

Sophistication and comfort

The play of sophisticated color and relaxed comfort continues in The Club, where patterned carpet with lapis blue lines contrasts with elegant lounge chairs and refreshed banquettes.

In The Restaurant, toffee-toned woods play off creamy caramel accents and dramatic sheer curtains, while new carpet has an intricate pattern that feels equally contemporary and timeless.

In the Card Room, new chairs upholstered in velvet with a geometric pattern are arranged around new card tables. Dark gray carpet provides a contemporary backdrop.

Suite updates

Suites also got significant updates, with Veranda Suites now showing new stone tops on the bedside cabinet and credenza, joined by a new table, designer bedding soft goods and sofa pillows. The premium suites gained new furniture and a new color palette.

Entertainment technology

All suites got new high-definition televisions with an interactive system that features added channels such as BBC HD, HGTV, The Food Network and The Travel Channel.

Internet optimization technologies were installed, with wireless access points added in every suite and boosted in public areas.

All suites now have USB 2.0 outlets on the nightstand.
