It will sail the company's 12-day 'Pharaohs & Pyramids' itinerary. This begins with a three-night hotel stay and touring in and around Cairo. Passengers then fly to Luxor to embark on an eight-day roundtrip Nile River cruise. The journey ends with a flight back to Cairo for a final night there.

'With its abundance of cultural treasures and ancient antiquities, Egypt has always been a destination of great interest to curious travelers, including our guests. We believe our ships are by far the most elegant vessels sailing the Nile River, and we look forward to introducing even more explorers to this fantastic destination in the years to come,' Viking Chairman/CEO Torstein Hagen said.

Viking Hathor is an identical sister to 2022's Viking Osiris and 2023's Viking Aton. Features include Scandinavian interiors, a distinctive square bow and the indoor/outdoor Aquavit Terrace.

Viking is scheduled to report second quarter earnings on Thursday.
