New culinary-focused sailings with Heritage Line along the lower Mekong River
Heritage Line is offering new culinary-focused sailings along the lower Mekong River visiting Vietnam and Cambodia.
The luxury line specializes in authentic curated itineraries. The new river cruise sailings of three, four and seven nights duration onboard 58mtr long and 54 lower berth Jayavarman, will unlock the unique culinary experiences specific to each region
In addition to the newly launched itinerary, 2009-built Jayavarman, named after the legendary Angkorian king, was refurbished last year with an open kitchen to offer live cooking classes.
Accompanied by local English-speaking guides, passengers will have the chance to sample exotic fruits along the Mekong Delta, take a hands-on cooking class in a Cao Di temple kitchen, barter for ingredients at local markets and visit the homes of local families along the lower Mekong to prepare and enjoy regional dishes such as Samlor Korko, a Cambodian ratatouille and the popular Cambodian street food Nom Krok together.
Spearheaded by founder John Tue Nguyen, who grew up on the Perfume River in the imperial city of Hue, Vietnam, the team behind Heritage Line is focussed on sharing undiscovered parts and untold stories of Southeast Asian river life.
