UK-based Riviera Travel rebranded in the US and introduced new bundled travel packages, an expedited travel advisor commission schedule and more.

This continues an aggressive push to educate the US market on the company's offerings, drive sales and capture market share.

Effective immediately, Riviera Rivera Cruises is called Riviera Travel stateside, bringing the river cruise line segment of the business under the same umbrella as the company’s other entities, aligning the US market positioning with the global brand name and creating a unified identity.

'For the past 40 years, Riviera Travel has been synonymous with ultra-premium tours and travel experiences, so it’s only natural to bring Riviera River Cruises under the same trusted name,' said Marilyn Conroy, EVP marketing and sales.

Bundled packages

Riviera Travel’s new streamlined booking process now enables travel advisors to bundle airfare, transfers and pre- or post-cruise hotel accommodations with the company’s river cruises.

The new bundled packages are now fully commissionable.

Updated commission schedule and incentives

Effective immediately, travel advisors will receive their commission two weeks before their clients’ departure dates, compensating advisors earlier than before.

In addition, Riviera Travel will offer advisors incentives throughout 2025, including a $50 voucher for bookings of seven nights and a $100 voucher for bookings of 10 nights or more.

'The travel advisor community is essential to the growth and success of Riviera Travel as we expand our offerings and enhance the services we provide, and we continue to evolve our offerings in an effort to help our partners stay ahead of the game,' Conroy said.

New amenities and itineraries

The company also revamped product offerings heading into 2025  New combination cruises allow passengers to sail for up to 29 consecutive days, and a variety of themed itineraries are available, from 'Gastronomy of the Douro' to 'Art and History on the Danube.'

Riviera Travel plans to introduce new onboard amenities and programming throughout the year including a new superior drinks package and some special 'surprise and delight' touches inspired by the destinations.
